Visiting La'akea Healing and Spiritual Center was such a peaceful and grounding experience. The energy of the space is calm, welcoming, and truly healing from the moment you walk in. You can tell this is a place created with a lot of intention and heart. I went in for a session and left feeling lighter, clearer, and more connected to myself. The practitioners are deeply intuitive, knowledgeable, and genuinely care about your well-being. It didn't feel clinical or rushed--it felt personal and sacred. Whether you're seeking spiritual guidance, energetic healing, or just a quiet space to reconnect, La'akea offers something really special. I had a Filipino traditional tawas and hilot session today with Zanny and I'm so glad I tried this healing modality. Partly growing up in the Philippines as a child, I was somewhat familiar with the tawas health scanning tool but I forgot about it since I grew up in the U.S. I found it very insightful knowing which parts of my body may have an imbalance through the tawas scan and addressing those imbalances through hilot, which seemed like a touch therapy/massage and using herbal oils and leaves (I forgot what kind of leaves Zanny used) to absorb those imbalances in my body. I felt lighter and at ease after the healing session and even my blood sugar seemed more balanced throughout the day since getting the treatment (maybe because I was more relaxed and less stressed??). I would definitely return again to get more tawas and hilot session with Zanny and I think this treatment is so helpful for stressed individuals/professionals and if you are experiencing pain or have unexplained ailments. Just be open to the experience and you might end up really liking it like I did.

I could not be more grateful that Darcie is offering the precious, in the past secret, ancient Hawaiian knowledge to us now. It is so deeply needed as so many of us live in suffering.
